Artsivis Ravine Natural Monument

Limestone massif located on the left of the Artsivis Gorge in the surroundings of Dedoplistskaro is the only place of Georgian local endemic kind of – Kakhetian campanula (campanula Kachetica) and the very rare kind of herbs - Globularia trichoscuntha, Galium – pedemantanum. Here in the west, 1,5km far, in the oak-hornbeam forest on the huge limestone massifs we meet the rare coniferous bush – thuja (Biota orientalis). It is not distributed anywhere in Georgia.

Vashlovani Protected Area

Vashlovani Protected Area is located in the southeast region of Georgia- Dedoplistskaro region (border at Azerbaijan).
Distance: from Tbilisi, till Dedoplistskaro 130 km.
The special attention has to be driven to juniper and Boswellia carterii arid bright forests, which are well-protected and have national meaning. Vashlovani Nature Reserve and the National Park can be discussed as the important reserve of cultural plants wild predecessor and genofond of forms. There are many interesting paleontologic and cultural /historic places in the park.
